This course is designed for junior students at the Department of Finance with the aim of familiarizing them with aspects of management in a business context. Course participants are expected to have been developing their financial management expertise, while the course will help them gain a broader picture as to how a business is run, what defines a good manager, and which functions interplay with finance in a business. In this light, we will go through topics including management theories, management process, organizational issues, and business functions. The course will conclude with a contemplation on the relationships between what a business and its managers play and the society at large.
